How to succesfully Invest and Basics

This was written for a different group /stocks it got deleted so hopefully this time it works !
Disclaimer
I dont want to sell you or recommend anything ! Just my expierence and little help so enjoy. If you want to ask me anything feel free, I try so answer everything.

This article is meant to be a small guide that helps you to find your way. Its based on my experience and knowledge, I gained throughout the years. Iam by far no professional. Iam just a guy who loves to invest. If you are new and have few grands to invest this article might help you.
My motivation to write this article was because when I turned 20 I got a small loan of 1 milli.... just few grands from my parents plus the savings I made from working. For me it was clear that I want to invest them. I always liked the idea making money and not really working for it! (Spoiler its kinda true and kinda not)
So I sum up few steps which will helped me to orientate and maybe help you to make your first investement
Step one 1. Where I can Invest?! You can basicly invest in everything. They are infinite options but I just cover up few topics.
They are 5 investments I would like to adress.
  1. Stocks.
    1. Real estate
    2. Options
    3. Start-ups
    4. Krypto n+1. art, old cars, drugs?! (Don’t do or sell drugs pls!)
Stocks (my fav.) I love stocks. I love understanding what the company’s plans are and where they are heading.
They are 3 different types of investment strategies.
  1. Short term (daily) That’s usually daily trading. That means you invest and sell on a daily basis. If your not a expert it can frustrating and the chances that you will lose is high. Many people forget that you have to pay taxes and fees so even if you for example invest 1.000 and sell for 1.050 within 20 min. You will have to pay some fees and taxes and with luck, you are where you started. It only makes sense when you invest a lot, otherwise it makes no sense and to be honest I don’t know any person which makes profit with it.
Difficulty: Hard
Stress Lvl: High
Risk: Medium/High
Profit: Usualy bad
Investement: Medium
  1. Mid term (6month – 1 year+) You buy some stocks for a longer period of time and hope it will go up soon.
This investment is much easier and less risky than short term. You see a stock going up and up so you invest 5k and hope you can ride a little on this upwards trend. Its fairly easy but you have to keep an eye on the market. A good example is VW it dropped because it has some Image problems. Thats a chance to invest! It will most likely to recover because its the biggest automarker in the world and it did. It happend 1000 times and normaly big companies dont fail they are exception but without risk you dont get anywhere
Difficulty: Medium
Stress: Medium
Risk: Medium
Profit: Good
Investment: Low
  1. Long term ( 1-2years – 10 years+) Means you want to invest for a long time you are not only interested in making a quick buck but making a slow and steady progress. You are not interested if the stock goes up or down but you are more interested how much divendend they pay. Usualy they go up very slowly but steady. A good example for this type of stock is Royal Dutch (shell) it has ist up and downs but compared to other stocks ist stable. The dividend is 6% which is insanly good no other big company will pay you that every year. You invest 10.000€ and get every year 600€ which means a holiday for free. Also the work is very little, you only have to check the stocks every few weeks/month You wont get rich but its better than having it in the bank.
Difficulty: Easy
Stress: Low
Risk: Low
Profit: Low
Investment: Low-Medium
Before you invest check the company read the news and get a good overview. I have to admit Iam a fanboy at heart. When a stock of one of my fav. company’s has potential and it does make sense to invest it feels like buying tickets for my favorite Rockband. You support and cheer them on and if they grow you grow with them. BUUUUUUT don’t get my wrong never buy stocks just because you like the company or they have a cool name.
All in all Stocks are a great Investment!
Real Estate
If you want to invest in houses it’s a very save and profitable investment but it depends on your area and country you are coming from. In Germany most objects are overpriced right now so it wouldnt make any sense to buy some. In generell the more money you have the better. They will will be much more people who can afford an cheap flat/condo than the other way around. So expensive objects are better! The optimum is always a shitty apartment in a very good area. Also buying objects in bad areas cause lots of trouble with tenant. Crazy families who refuse to pay, messy people etc. this can end in a stressful situation so beware of that.
If you are already rich af than buy propreties
Example
I went once to an auction and most apartments are sold for double the estimated value. It would take ages (20+ years) to get your investment back. So beware of your market situation.
Difficulty: Easy
Stress: Usualy low/medium
Risk: Low
Profit: Medium
Investment: High
Options
Options are basicly betting that a stock with go up or down. You can bet on nearly everything. You can make lot of money very quick and lose everything even quicker. For me option trading is gambling with few extra steps. The difference is you can lose more than you invest. They are cases where people invest 1000€ and lose -120.000€ because suddelny the market changed.
If you have gambling problems and tendency to gamble this is absolutly not for you. You can see here (in the forum) lots of bad examples where people going full YOLO on something and lose a ton of money. They save up a little, invest in something even more risky and lose again.
I know a friend who makes good money from it but he has a clear head and read many books about this topic he uses software to analyse the situation and everything and he admits that sometimes he doesnt understand what happend. Of course options are not the devils tool but I like to be the voice against it. The truth is in the middle.
Iam a person who likes to understand what am I doing. After reading and learning about it, for more than a year I was more confused than before. It is probably because Iam to stupid for it, so I gave it up and moved on. Options are not for me
Difficulty: very hard (at least for me)
Stress: high
Risk: low - very risky
Profit: It can be everything
Investment: low
  1. Start-ups
Start-ups are also a great business opportunity. I was lucky enough to invest once a little bit into a upcoming company from my firend. He showed me his company and the plans for the future. I already helped him with few shows and stuff so I knew how everything worked.
The biggest bullshit I ever saw are the analyse prediction of the future sales. During the last few years I saw few of them and they all predicted that the company will make an absurd amount of money. It looked like high cool project all shiny and with big numbers. To be honest I dont even know who pay these people to make such bullshit predictions, seriously.
(as you can see I love talking from my life so forgive me my dear)
Long story short I still invested because I understood their model. They existed and already made great progress. I made 50% profit in 3 years. I am still very happy and greatful to had such good chance to invest and would do it again.
They biggest question is how do I find such chances ?
Tell people you are intersted to invest maybe a friend of you will start an company and you can invest or help you to find such a opprtunity. I went to many start up meetings and talk about a lot with my friends. They dont want to hear it but I tell them anyway and if there is a chance they will call me.
Few Tipps:
- Look for already existing companys
- Most companys give you a very good inside look before you invest! If not watch out they hide something.
- Try to understand what they are doing and where they are heading
- Look what the will offer you for your money!
Difficulty: Medium/hard
Stress: Medium/low
Risk: Medium/High
Profit: Good/Very good
Investment: From Low to high
  1. Krypto
Boy oh boy where to start. I heard to many experts saying yeah krypto thats future boyyyyyy I invested everything BOYYYYYYY and in few month I will be rich BOIIIIII. I heard this story so often that Iam allgeric to it now. This irregulated mess based purly on speculations wasnt anything form me. I didnt invest a cent into it and had lots of chances when bitcoin was 300-500 €. It didnt simply fit into my portfolio. It had no function for me. You could pay for your drugs in the deep web and some hipster pizzerias accepted it but in generell it had no function. So investing into kryptos is just speclutions it has no real fundation what I like.
My friends who invested early made a ton of money but all the people on the Hypetrain crashed.
Difficulty: I dont know
Stress: Depends how much storys you make about it on Instagra´m
Risk: Over 9000
Profit: It can be everything from super high to low in just few days
Investment: What ever you want, if this is still to expensive for you, make your own coin and hope some Idiot buys it!
Now you know my knowledge ehh more like my opionen on few things now its time for……. Step. 2. Get a rough overview
Back than I didn’t know where to start so I asked everybody for advice like parents, friends , my parents friends, banks, forums, news etc. and got very different results.
Friends and family can be a good source of information how they did it. Of course often investments are impossible to repeat because they are 20 years ago but they can give some good advice. Its nice to hear few cool stories.
Example
Royal Dutch shell hast wo different stocks. One based in england (B) one Dutch version (A) (explained very simple, not 100% accurate). If you purchase Royal Dutch (A) you have to pay a 15% withholding tax that you wouldnt when you buy Royal Dutch (B).
Banks
Banks are terrible to ask. I always had shitty experience. The lured me into meetings, only to sell some shitty investment models from which they make some good money of me or some stupid insurence. They are not interested in your loses or profits they are interested to sell you the next stupid investement from which the make money. They never keep their promises and if you loose they will cheer you up and show their new hot investement and so on and so on until you loose and they drop you.
My mom works kind of in the finance sector and you wont believe home money older people lost ton of money because of this. I also found few very shady investements opportunities who would be illegal but I wont get into detail cause I dont have 100% proof for it and I also dont want to get in any trouble. As you can see Iam not big fan oft them and do not recommend!
News/charts/indexes/Forums
For me charts & news works the best. It’s easily so see what’s going on and gives you a great overview. The chart showed that a stock dropped 5%?! Good! Read the news/forums and find out what is going on! It’s that easy you don’t need 15 monitors and crazy software to understand what is happening. Dont make it to complicated! Have an easy overview about the market which you would like to invest.
Example
My parents invested around a year ago alot in Tesla. It was before Model 3 was released. Tesla had no expierence in mass production and it was clear (at least to me) that they wont have an easy start. They still made no profit and it was the first step to play with the big boys. Back than the Tesla stock was way over 300€ and it was based a lot on speculation and hype. It couldnt live up to they hype and dropped ≈ 30% - 35%.
  1. Few points & strategies
No Emotions
Never ever let your emotions guide you. Stocks are not based on a stomach feeling or any other emotion. Dont invest just because you like Elon Musk or Apple or anything. If I have a the chance to invest into one because the timing is right. Always make sure you know what you are doing. When it can wait a day, sleep a night about it and be sober! You can get sucked up into this world you will start giving a shit if you lose one grand and start digging deeper and deeper and lose sense the value of it. Stay sober and now when you have to stop.
Making losses
It will happend and dont freak out !
They are two options how to handle it and it depends on few things.
  1. Sell them, you see the ship is sinking and their no possibility you can save it than sell it, It hurts but better early than it is to late. Or you find a better possibility to invest for example a start up than its also fine.
  2. Keep it! Turning a Short/Mid-term investement into a long-term investement. Check first if the company will recover from it. For example the VW stocks dropped a lot due it scandal few years ago but it was clear that they will not go bankrupt so after a while they recover from it. Technically the market will grow infinite so after every crash they reach new heights, if you can wait that long the chances are high that you will make some profit and do not lose any money. Maybe the profit will be small but better than losing everything.
Diversity
Dont put all your eggs in one basket but also dont but every egg in a different basket. Have a good mix that you can still have an overview about your investment. Dont depend on one investment something bad can always happend. Having a good mix is important some investments will go up and few will go down. Its rearly that everything will crash (expect crises). So you can sell the good one and keep the bad ones until they go up.
Scams
Online
Stick to the basics! They are a ton of scammers online who want to show you a way to make fast money. Its mostly some MLM (multi level markting) aka Pryamide sheme, some buying and reselling some stuff from China or some weird option trading platform where pay in and your money is gone in 5 min without any trace o fit (no chance getting it back)! The Instagram advertisment is so ridiculous and I feel stupid mentioning it but hey if it wouldnt work they wouldnt exist. So please dont be this guy….
Offline
I really wanted to invest and have an own start-up. I met many people and visited countless seminars. Few of them offered me to invest but it was a mostly a mess. Onced I got fooled. A friend and I meet a person who had a start up for social media. We had some meetings restaurant he paid everything for us and looked very legit. I worked 3-4 month in this start up 3-4 hours a day, even on weekends for free. Only later to find out I was the only one working in it. (My friend pulled out very early cause he wanted to focus on his PhD) They rest oft he Team did absolute nothing! All the money the company generated was based on my work. They didnt make a lot of money but around 600-800€ a month. The founder spend all the money on vacation and stuff. I never got anything. They wanted to sell me 10% of the company for 15.000€. I always said I need more inside infos, which of course I never got. So I pulled out and they went mad and threaten me to sue me. I feel to this day ashamed that I trusted them and didnt saw it.
If you want get into something like this make a contract dont rely on handshakes people will tell you everything and wont keep it. I learned it the hard way
Be open minded
I met enough people who dont want to share with me their portfolio because they are scared that I will steal something from them. Its stupid! Talk to as many people als possible about your investment. Some amazing things can happend. I meet to many great people because of that and with some I share a 5+ years long friendship maybe we dont share the same ideas but I leanred a lot of it and sometimes I made some profit because of it! Be open !
Prediction & graphic lines
When I did my first Investment (it was gold) I read every morning every article about it I could for at least a solid year. Every monring 20 min Thats rouhly 120 hours. Thats time I will never get back. It was wasted time. The news/articels predicted everything. It was a rollercoaster. I believed it in the beginning because it was new to me. It really messed me up and I spend way to much time overthinking. Its fine to see a prediction but the more extreme it is the more it will never happend.
Also the trendlines are mostly worthless. I read so many people talking about the 50 day trendline or the 200 day trendline. It only idicates if a stock goes up or down but people interepte everything into it. “Oh yeah you can see the restience at 12.50 if it will drop below everbody will sell“. The next day it dropped and nothing happend. Dont believe everything in the internet. (lol)
Keep it simple
Dont make it to complicated you can have the best infos and charts and everything in the world and still lose everything. So dont make it to hard for yourself.
THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE
No depts
Dont take a credit just because you know a great investment. No matter how much you could earn DO NOT TAKE A CREDIT. This can not only ruin you financily but also your family and your whole life. This is no joke! Make no depts.
DO NOT MAKE FUCKING DEBTS!
My Strategy
It is a mixture of long term and mid-term stock investments. Its very easy I invested in:
Before I buy some
- Royal Dutch because of the high dividend
- Deutsche Bank when the hit nearly a all time low hoping to recover (still hoping ☹ )
- Lufthansa because they bought few airlines and hopefully will grow but its not (thanks Greta !)
- Tesla because they are low and made some good deals for the future. (update, sold it and made 30-35% in 6 weeks)
Am I rich or making a lot of money?! Hell no! But Iam making enough to pay for my holidays and few extras. I am patient enough to sit out bad times. I never sold anything with loose and I want to keep it that way. I like having a clean record.
Thanks for reading and feel free to ask my everything.

USI Tech

I wrote this to a friend who attempted to recruit me into USI Tech.
heres my opinion
USI Tech has a lot of similarities with very problematic business models.
its ownership has problematic connections; it operates a multilevel marketing model that relies on the recruitment of new investors; i havent seen convincing proof that their software truly works the way they say it works.
ive found a lot of cloak and dagger having done a couple weeks of research on the company and my conclusion is that
for me personally there are too may red flags to invest. ive consumed a lot of material on the subject of their legitimacy from both sides of the argument. this is a complex question and it has a complex answer.
the objective truth of whether or not the company is a scam will be regarded as a matter of opinion until history reveals itself; as of right now you believe they are an honest enterprise, and i disagree. that is totally fine, we are both friends and we respect eachothers opinions and we want the best for one another; either of us could be wrong and it won't affect our friendship.
for me, the decision to forego the investment came from these red flags:
1.) Who. its hard to get an official document of exactly who owns the company however these are a few names that come up as people who have either seemed to own it or have at one point promoted it, all of which cast shade over themselves: Mike Kiefer, Ralf Gold, Joao Severino, Charles Scoville.
USI Tech is registered in Dubai and while that is not problematic on its own, there are devastating amounts of internet ponzis registered or operating out of Dubai, specifically foreign exchange trading scams.
2.) How. multilevel marketing. i despise MLM, i believe it is a predatory recruitment method that exploits people's hope and greed. while pyramid schemes can make money, very very very very very often the actual money making mechanism is the recruitment of new members and their subsequent purchase investments. even with a really shitty product you can make this go far so long as the hype is strong enough to feed recruitment.
my family was ruined when i was ten after my parents claimed bankrupcy over a zealous series of investments in Melaluca, an organic lotions MLM. this will always affect my bias.
3.) What. USI Tech's bitcoin product, what is it? do they offer a crypto trading software that works like their forex robot? as far as i can tell, there is no direct evidence of the actual trades that their software allegedyly engages in. my bottom line is here i can't come up with any evidence of a tangible product that truly does what they say it does which is problematic because they are offering a ROI which is apparently based on this robot's performance. moreover, if USI Tech is attempting some clever loophole trickery to avoid having registered with the SEC for selling securities, i have no idea what it is and that is alarming.
finally, 4.) Why. ponzi. if you do not know how a ponzi scheme works on a technical level, learn it, it is very simple. a multilevel marketing company out of Dubai that offers a cloaked software product raises supreme concern for me. their shelflife looks to have been extended by having added an anonymous and unregulated currency into the mix.
i don't doubt that at some level they are trying to make honest money, maybe that is what their mining operation is about. if they start offering cloud mining, that will be another red flag.
money can be made in a ponzi, i just believe its dishonest money. the operative is to discontinue reinvestment at a safe time. i cant put my btc in it because i believe it will contribute to the propagation of the business, which i believe to be malevolent.
__
for me, the magic is in bitcoin. not a robot that trades bitcoin. not a robot that trades in fiat markets.
i dont even speculate in arbitrage because the magic isnt even in the investment opportunity.
if what they say is true, and there is a robot that can consistently pull value out of crypto markets, then that is an innovative and lucrative achievement, but i don't buy it. if they use a robot to pull value out of forex, then my investment is directly participating in that system of currency that i don't trust.
you're a good dude, and obviously i have no hard feelings about your involvement, you will make money in it even which is great. like i said you can still make money in it and of course its tempting to invest so i might even buy a pack depending on how greedy i get, but my opinion isn't likely to change about the nature of USI Tech until i learn more.

Transcript of George Webb Video Series Part 265 "Hillary's Leakers, Hackers, and Henchmen" [@Georgwebb / #HRCRatline]

  • Day 112.2 Uranium One Witnesses - The Real Lambert or Fake Campbell Soup? - YouTube
    • It's day 112 and it's part 2 and there's some new breaking news about Campbell here
    • As you know in the past we've done a lot of shows about 75 days ago on Mark Lambert
    • And the difference between Campbell being kind of more of a K Street guy
    • He's being represented by two K Street lawyers that live there that work extremely close like right across the street from him
    • More of a kind of an interface between Washington DC and the FBI let's say and the nuclear industry
    • Whereas Mark Lambert being a Navy Intel guy, knows all the logistics, knows all the nuclear science, knows all the languages, I mean just really deep expert in this whole trade
    • We're talking all the way the whole nuclear cycle--from the ore to the Kroupnick crushers, to the yellowcake, to the spinning of the Uranium in Paducah, to the--making fuel out of it for the different Duke Energy plants, all the way to getting into the plant the nuclear fuel rod plant in Tennessee, to getting it into the Navy ships an electric boat at the at the shipyards in Mobile, and the shipyards in Wilmington, and the shipyards in Groton, Connecticut--
    • So he knows the whole cycle, as well as when the rods come back from those different ships
    • And how to bring them through South Carolina
    • And then bring them up to Sharon Harris for storage
    • And then use of that MOX fuel for hey let's use this MOX fuel that has these plutonium for CANDU reactors around the world
    • Why why do we want to store this?
    • Let's let's use this nuclear fuel cycle
    • So Campbell being really kind of really kind of a bagman--I hate to say it--Lambert being the real expert
    • And this is where an informed public really can say hey look I don't--you didn't give me enough detail with the John Solomon's story here
    • With--there was some yellowcake that went to Europe and some yellowcake that went to Asia
    • That's not specific enough
    • You didn't give me enough information about what what is this STX spin-off?
    • This sport transport logistics
    • What is this why the soccer balls in Sialkot
    • What's what's going on there
    • You're doing Uranium One day and then you're talking about cake and soccer balls
    • The next day you're talking about envy cylinders going back to to Piketon Ohio
    • What's going on there? Don't quite understand that
    • So this Uranium One story is developing second thing to support my theory that--Hilary spent most of her time on these one-two-three agreements here
    • Is just looking at the NNSA and looking at the agreements
    • And looking at the dates of the agreements
    • And seeing most of them were signed when she was either shadow Secretary of State in 1997, with Argentina,
    • Or with Australia, when she was Secretary of State
    • Shadow Secretary of State with Brazil
    • CANDU is Canada becomes the kind of surreptitious partner
    • If there's a problem there's no one-two-three agreement, we'll just start the program with Canada, and we'll take our National Lab information and we'll give it to them
    • China with Kerry being kind of a stand-in secretary of state
    • Moving down here to the European and International atomic energy
    • These are kind of like brokers for anybody
    • They can take technology for Europe or Asia for our yellowcake right
    • Now India was signed by Bush
    • But then as well as Indonesia and Japan
    • But then look at Kazakhstan. Kind of comes in at the end and that's where this megatons to megawatts kind of comes in
    • And they've been used to getting away with
    • They've been used to branding this and having a--person like Share Blue media come in and David Brock and and--paint the pretty pictures
    • And everybody goes hey that sounds like a good idea
    • Take nuclear weapons and then make--nuclear fuel out of it--what a great idea
    • When in actual fact something very different is happening at the ground level
    • And that's why I like the Mark Lambert's of the world, that actually deal with it on the ground level you could even see here that Morocco--scales up its program
    • And then Norway signs a deal the day before Trump--I think Podesta may have been in Norway during that negotiation right there at the end
    • And then of course the Russian Federation while Hillary signs it's one two three well
    • Hillary is there
    • South Africa comes in with Marc Rich this is the influence of Marc Rich
    • Switzerland, Marc Rich, I think there's a lot of reactors in Switzerland that we don't know about buried deep beneath the hills there
    • That's Allen Dulles type thinking
    • As well as Taiwan and Turkey
    • So this really is where the money is--a thousand times more valuable, I think the HEU then the gold
    • Now here's the mixed oxide fuel
    • And the nice part about mixed oxide fuel--this could be coming from weapons programs right
    • So it could utilize surplus weapons-grade Uranium
    • And then you can use it in these CANDU reactors--these fast reactors okay
    • So you could build those CANDUs in China you can build them in Iran you could build them in Pakistan you can build them in India South Africa all over the world, through Canada, and there you go you're in business
    • And then you can sign the nuclear deal later on--the one two three agreement later on
    • And here's your can do reactors and I think this--the partnership with Trudeau's have been it's been a long time
    • Not just the current Trudeau, but the father--they had a very strong relationship with the Clintons--a good business relationship
    • And again, you can use and leverage--if you insert yourself and infiltrate yourself into these national laboratories with Awan-type infiltration program--it really works well
    • And I think these Dukes--these are the kind of the insiders
    • They consider themselves maybe the knowledge Dukes
    • And I think they have some progenitors that they look to and
    • They go--there was almost smart Nazi scientists this is released--celebrated there's a facility I visited in northern France, which is the Peda Munda v2 rocket plant
    • It's incredibly automated for 80 years ago, really quite impressive
    • And then there's this kind of the the bad boy of the bunch--that was not a Nazi u-boat commander the wolf pack
    • This is the--Navy irregular warfare under--three three three 333 half evil--the Wolf Pack idea
    • And I think really the Dukes if the Dukes had any attitude, it would be more like the Nazi u-boat commander kind of thing
    • A stealth infiltration etc
    • And then there's a good heap of of Nazi Intelligence thrown in there as well in this group in the Dukes
    • This is where I think the FBI side of the Dukes is
    • Not the Navy Intel side, but more the FBI side which is really the same thing I guess
    • But man this looks like Rod Rosenstein
    • Having seen Rod Rosenstein up close, I thought it was Reinhardt Gehlen when I saw him
    • I said that's not Rod Rosenstein that's Rhinehart Gehlen
    • And somebody said no no that's he's testifying in front of Congress
    • That's Rod Rosenstein
    • So anyway but what the Nazis did Indian Intel did was their strategy was hey we're not strong--in Africa as the US or Britain especially Britain England
    • So we're gonna develop these groups
    • We're gonna leverage these current groups that are on the ground and to get the mining
    • Get the land get the Uranium, get the gold, get them molybdenum whatever they needed right for war
    • And isn't Isis that exact same thing?
    • Isn't really aren't the Awans really just an expression of the old Nazi modus operandi?
    • Now I'm not saying these current dukes are Nazis
    • But there is kind of this Pax urania, through our Intelligence and through our knowledge into our brainpower, and through our knowledge of military, and through our knowledge of Intelligence, we're going to end up ruling the world through this valuable resources that's worth a thousand times more than gold
  • Day 120.3. Revenge of the Nuclear Nazis - YouTube
    • Day 112 as part 3 it's a beautiful day here in Washington even though it is quite cold still
    • So the latest news was this fake police force
    • Now we had a fake police officer here in our lobby after a Task Force's room was turned over
    • Then a very solid female cop came in, very professional, was filling out a police report
    • She left the room said I'll be right back
    • And then Task Force came down about an hour later, because nobody came back up to the room
    • And there was this fake cop there a guy, with a beard, tattoo, looked like he just had put on his shirt, and fake badge, and fake gun
    • Or a real gun but--didn't--looked very sloppy and disheveled
    • Not an authoritative police officer
    • Well this is exactly what Kamala Harris was her staff was just busted for
    • Having a fake police force fake badges--may have been at the Auto Auction--for police cars
    • But are being used now under the color-of-law as real police cars
    • And that is pretty much what Kamala Harris got busted for
    • So was was were they telling the truth? Was Task Force telling the truth?
    • I think she was because I was there
    • I do also know that at a very high level lieutenant commander in the Navy was here at 5:30 in the morning
    • Because I came down and begging for the for the security cam footage
    • Because this fake cop squared off,
    • When Task Force demanded to have a police report done, and said you're a police officer, that's your job, he squared off
    • Did not unholster the weapon but grabbed the weapon and squared off on her
    • So this is something that is real
    • And if you don't think JTTF runs this--then well you don't have to think that
    • But JTTF is in this position of being a part of a program and a Counterintelligence side
    • That got developed 20 years ago with John Brennan
    • And Andy McCabe was the knight in shining armor inside the FBI, fixing all the little--being the hands and feet of John Brennan
    • And they have infiltrated the FBI through the Counterintelligence division
    • It's just the way it happened
    • Same way that the Nazis they came over here in Fort Hunt
    • And the Counterintelligence division of the Nazis got into the CIA same exact way
    • So and then this whole idea of Nuclear Nazi
    • Oh by the way then it was a Navy guy that asked for the tape--he got the tapes
    • And he reported to the Chief of Naval Operations
    • Again, down at NAVSEA Navy Sea Command in Navy yard
    • So it all roads lead to the Navy Yard
    • Not just Washington DC
    • They lead to the Navy Yard
    • And so there's this kind of group of thousand 100 partners these Frank Giustra partners
    • I'm not saying they're all Navy
    • I'm not saying they're all FBI
    • I'm not saying they're all CIA
    • I'm not saying they're all Wall Street types and mining types
    • But it's it's it's a group it's a consortium of about eleven hundred of them
    • So anyway they are acting like Nuclear Nazis
    • So that's why I call them the Nuclear Nazis
    • And they do bear an awful strong resemblance to Rhinehart Galen Rod Rosenstein
    • And Mueller certainly looks very much like Heinrich Mueller
  • Day 112.4. Kamilla Harris and Becerra’s Weird Navy Freemasons - YouTube
    • It's day 112--this is part four
    • And we've got some Senators looking like they're leaving now
    • Maybe there won't be a vote today the budget bill
    • Looks like Rand Paul may have introduced a late amendment to cap the budget, which I can see his point
    • 160 billion dollar increase on the Republican side 131 billion dollar increase on the domestic side
    • So that's pretty pretty astonishing increase
    • The story that kind of resurfaced from 2016, speaking of Senators--the Senator from California Kamala Harris was they had this weird Freemasons group
    • And this is that Navy Intel our Navy Intel kind of Masonic group that is resurfacing in America over the last eight to nine years, when Hillary became Secretary of State
    • This this group I think we got some action
    • So anyway kind of this weird group kind of almost a Brownshirts kind of in feel
    • Paramilitary
    • And one of the guys was named Henry I believe--his name was David Henry
    • Did you get an ID?
    • There some kind of Grand Master whatever
    • But there is this kind of Navy Intel Freemasons weird paramilitary organization that Hillary has
    • There's these SES folks these senior executive service folks actually owned these things
    • They have names like first American security
    • And always American Eagle in the Sun security
    • And they're kind of like I would call them blue shirts
    • So it's almost like a TSA all the other shirts kind of look like the TSA
    • And it's it's a group of a family usually of about 50 to 60 people
    • And it's perfect for drug running
    • It's the perfect color-of-law--the Nazis are the same way when they got into South America
    • They needed to run and get something going in terms of money they started running drugs through Cuba, with a Helliwell plan
    • And it kind of reminds me of the same thing
    • It had that color-of-law feel that they didn't used to have, with MS-13 in LA area with the Crips and bloods...
    • So this it's almost like the Crips and bloods got older, and got better t-shirts or better security shirts
    • And now they are running the color-of-law operations in these major metropolitan cities especially ports
    • Now I'm also including Kansas City in that is a port
    • St. Louis as a port
    • The sky port in Phoenix...
    • But wherever there are those kind of Federal trade ports and Federal trade protection, it seems to be that's where the concentration of this Navy stuff is
    • And you have to go back to Carter Page
    • And again, no one in Washington seems to drill down
    • Carter Page being a member of the Hillary Clinton campaign team, transition team, Armed Services Committee team, and then he goes on to the Pentagon to work in nuclear non-proliferation
    • So I don't know what the hard part of this is
    • You just drill down to a couple Google searches, and find out he's been a part of the Clinton camp in terms of DoD in the Navy Intel for a long time
    • As long as Bannon as long as Bannon
    • So we'll we'll follow it along
    • We haven't got the memo yet from down at the White House
    • But we're waiting for that as well
    • So we'll see we'll we'll keep it and keep you posted as things as things occur
  • Day 112.6. Drilling Down On the Carter Page Narrative - YouTube
    • Day 112 here we are foot lights of Washington DC up there Barrick Gold and of course Fox News Fox News
    • Gonna be up there too probably tonight
    • It's gonna be beautiful
    • They're gonna cover this shutdown Schumer shutdown showdown Schumer shutdown showdown
    • So who knows it'll be exciting night
    • But I'm on a different story, which is really drilling down on this narrative
    • So many of the Washington narratives don't get drilled down on for instance where does Carter Page live in Washington DC 2111 2111 Wisconsin
    • Where is that close to?
    • Well you you probably remember DC classic motors classic motors DC was 4800 a little bit up the hill on Wisconsin Avenue
    • You remember all the embassies and all the stuff that was on Wisconsin Avenue
    • You probably remember American University
    • You probably remember Tenleytown
    • Friendship Heights
    • CA village up there
    • You probably remember eight Navy Intel and all that stuff and me all the other people that lived up there in our story
    • I think Charisse Pepingion lived up there right about 4800 5400 Wisconsin
    • So we know all that's up there we know about the Navy observatory we've gone there many times in this story
    • We know the Navy observatory is under the vice president
    • The vice president has the global view the eye of G.O.D. all over the world from the Navy observatory
    • Where does carter page live?
    • He lives on Navy observatory circle
    • 2111 I'm not joking here 2111 Navy observatory circle
    • I think he lives in apartment 224
    • Would love to talk to him
    • Who lives close to there who lives close to the British Embassy
    • Who trades thumb drives in the in the British Embassy parking lot?
    • Craig Murray!
    • Who else lives there? (hey scrunch)
    • Who else lives there? who else lives there? 3067 Whitehaven 3067 Whitehaven
    • You're never going to get away from 3067 whitehaven if you're Hillary Clinton, because that is how you get into the British Embassy at night--gotta have parties
    • 3067 Whitehaven about a five-minute walk from Carter Pages' place
    • Why is that important?
    • Well Carter Page is in the transition team of Hillary Clinton, in the campaign of Hillary Clinton, always seems to be hanging around the White House
    • Hanging around the down that way hanging around the West Wing always in talking about nuclear proliferation NNSA
    • Who knows? We got to ask these questions to Carter Page
    • But Carter Page goes to London
    • Does he meet Papadopoulos there?
    • He does three chances at his PhD
    • His prof. in London says he failed three times on his PhD--who knows? we got to find that out
    • He goes to Georgetown for his master's before that in political science
    • Let's ask him the question
    • What did you what what--what were you thinking national security
    • What was it what were you thinking?
    • So Carter Page is going to be the key to this whole narrative
    • Hey let's throw the president out
    • Let's impeach the president
    • Shouldn't we drill down on that story?
    • Shouldn't we drill down and find out who Carter Page is, before everybody gets thrown out of office?
    • Shouldn't we drill down on who George Papadopolis is
    • So that's what I'm gonna do
    • And Fox will be here tonight
    • They'll do their part we'll all get there
    • We're all going to get to the true narrative of what is really happening in Washington
    • Are these school plays or are we dealing with the truth?
  • Day 112.7. No Time For Mele Mouth Prattle - YouTube
    • Day 112 this is probably part six and
    • So this is going to be to the Fourth Estate right
    • And if you don't remember the Fourth Estate speech in British Parliament
    • It was Wilberforce, I believe, I believe
    • I could be wrong, but I believe it was Wilberforce
    • And he was the obviously the willing force against slavery, and the compelling force in the 1840s I think in Britain against slavery
    • And he is the one who gathered public opinion, even though the votes were against him
    • He was the one who gathered public opinion in Parliament, and said, "you gentlemen, you gentlemen, pointing to the gallery"
    • It very sexist then--no women reporters--the only man reporters of the post and the London Times
    • You gentlemen are the members that will ensure the right course of history
    • You gentlemen are the Fourth Estate
    • You gentlemen will guide the hand of history
    • You gentlemen are every bit as important as these three--the king, the Commons, and the Lords in our future
    • {{ 911: it's clergy, royals, people and press }}
    • And that was really the first time that ever in the parliamentary procedure that the press was recognized every bit as powerful as the Commons and the Lords and and the King
    • (Hey scrunch! Hey scruncherific! Scruncherif)
    • So I call on all journalists now to stop being a mealy-mouthed pablum repeating prattler
    • Stopping a mealy-mouthed pablum prattler
    • Dive down on these narratives
    • Dive down do the research
    • Do the tough digging that needs to be done to tell the truth
    • Carter Page being presented as a victim is ridiculous
    • George Papadopolis being presented as some kind of--oh just somebody who flew Deus Ex Machina into the Trump campaign is ridiculous
    • For whom does the Bell toll? For whom does the Bell toll it tolls for thee right--I can't remember that poem I can't remember that poem
    • Right now who wrote it anyway my point being that you need to dig this isn't the
    • The responsibility of the Fourth Estate isn't one of a mealy-mouthed prattler
    • A mealy-mouthed prattler is not good enough
    • OANN digs, other networks dig
    • It's time now to stop being a mealy-mouthed prattler and dig
  • Day 112.8. A Prayer For Our Country Tonight - YouTube
    • Day 112 part 8
    • And I just wanted to say it was John Donne do oh and he For Whom the Bell Tolls it tolls for thee
    • I hope the Senators Souls raise themselves to the
    • So the majesty of this Capitol tonight
    • And hopefully we we get a deal
    • We get beyond this--CR 2 CR 2 CR
    • And create some stability and
    • And we do a deal for the dreamers
    • We get--to 2 million whatever the number is
    • But with vetting
    • Michael McMahon with vetting
    • We need vetting
    • So that's my prayer for Washington tonight
    • And may all the Senators do the best they can for our country
  • Day 113.1 - Kamilla's Fake Navy Mason Cops With DEA Licenses - YouTube
    • Day one thirteen big day memo day
    • Just a quick review of yesterday it's in cars remember the Uranium is in cars that's going to be down at the Navy Yard real close to where that Democratic National Committee high-speed line is
    • I think the Dukes are going to be the key to this story, all the way through, these dukes of nuclear hazard
    • I'm talking about Anthony Weiner, and Cheryl Mills, and it's going to be the Mueller, McCabe, Comey, Rosenstein bunch--all that bunch
    • The idea that mixed fuel Uranium and plutonium would come into the United States from Russia beginning in 1998, to a company called U.S. Enrichment, which the Dukes which the Dukes all put together with their hand-picked person that they put in there called the Kroupniks, and have Saipov truckers, truck it all around
    • The idea that none of that would be diverted, especially when you could create, and use a plant created in Canada called a CANDU reactor, to move and create and build these plants in China, over in Iran, as well as Pakistan, India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and you could divert that fuel there and make money rather than storing it and down blending it that's almost a waste product the fact that we did that and let that happen is a mockery on the taxpayers of the United States, as also we were gonna build a MOX plant down there, to burn this fuel
    • 30 billion dollars was spent
    • It's only 30 percent complete
    • Did that money go to these different power stations around the world?
    • I think it did
    • Uranium One is a big story it's gonna get bigger
    • So I'll talk about the Navy Yard here in a second
    • This weird police force--this story from a year ago, which is Kamala Harris's guiding keel is her assistant works with these 33 fake police forces in 33 different states
    • Are those of 33 Blackberries? We'll find out
    • We'll drill in a little bit more in the Naval Observatory
    • And then finally with Edmund Burke here saying the famous statement not Wilberforce
    • Wilberforce moved out slavery--he was a contemporary of Edmund Burke, but Edmund Burke gets credit for the Fourth Estate
    • So quickly moving to [Brandon Kiel][bk2]---this is this guy Henry, David Henry who died right before this 33 state investigation could really kick off
    • And Kiel here is Kamala Harris's kind of right-hand man literally right-hand man
    • So, again, this weird police force kind of weird it's like is this the perfect cover for color-of-law operations and drugs?
    • Absolutely I think it is of course we've got Campbell's Soup here
    • Now being offered up as a in testimony Uranium One we're still not getting to the key question of the day
    • And then I'll just go here to this weird Masonic Police Force
    • They even had their own badges
    • They even had their own weird badges
    • And of course all the heraldry and costuming that you would expect a Navy Masonic order to have
    • Quickly will move toward the Navy observatory here in little circle on the Navy observatory remember this is the eye of G.O.D.
    • You can see not only ship traffic all over the world all the different navies of the world, but also air traffic
    • You've got also foot traffic now, with some of these nano satellites
    • Here's your british embassy here's Craig Marie getting that hard drive for the DNC emails, right, and through the fence
    • And then of course you have Hillary's address here at 3067 White Haven
    • Very close
    • If you were working with somebody like, oh let's say a spy named Christopher Steelee, that would be convenient to be so close to the British Embassy
    • And then of course it's just a half mile walk over here to Wisconsin Avenue, where Carter Page lives
    • Now he lives suspiciously also close to the China China China Embassy, where you get the visas
    • He worked in San Diego
    • Is this the dragon distillery connection?
    • Is this the quad connection with Bannon?
    • Did he work with Bannon at the Pentagon?
    • None of this stuff is coming out yet, so it'd be interesting how this goes
    • Let's talked about another Navy location now down here at the Naval sea command system
    • This is the operational command
    • This is the Chief of Naval Operations and across the street of course we have the high speed line on fibre to the Democratic National Committee
    • Of course we've got the rail abbas cabs over here with--choose your cab, and a nice cover where we can meet somebody in a ball park with thousands and thousands of people
    • We ever get in trouble, we can go over the bridge here to Anacostia DHS--we're safe
    • We can take a helicopter over to Ocean City Maryland
    • And then fly down to Florida
    • And then get a jet anywhere where the FIVEEYES can take us
    • In New Zealand or Australia or else Canada or the UK, and we can still continue operations there
    • Do I think Imran worked here instead of downtown?
    • Yes I do, because the Rao Abbas cabs getting people started
    • Bringing them in in an infiltration program--or let's call it a paperclip operation--would be key to be near all this stuff
    • (sorry about that)
    • So anyway I'll just move on to the FISA, which is the last big story today
    • Over a year ago this is this is March 1st last year I talked about them getting a June warrant, because I saw--the the whole press leaks the press leaks
    • I didn't know that time about Papadopoulos, but the press leaks were happening in June
    • So I said if they are going to get have a color-of-law to cover this thing, you're gonna have to have a warrant in June
    • And I believed that there was a FISA court that met
    • But I saw their their time when they don't meet very often around July 12th
    • And I surmised that they tried to go to the FISA Court to overrule, maybe it would got rejected, and then they went to the FISA Court to get it approved
    • Or the other way around
    • Maybe it was rejected or maybe was approved and then it was overturned, later overturned
    • Probably was rejected first by Rudy, and then in June, and then they overturned that and approved it in July, since all three of these folks are Clinton appointees
    • But we'll see but
    • Here I was but so I still believe that signing July then goes to October, then goes to if it fits the timing better, and I still think that there was a FISA Court of review if Rudy Judge Rudy Contreras shot blocked the first FISA, which I think is the case
    • So that sets up today for the big memo the Schiff memo
    • We'll see what happens
    • And that is your morning report
  • Day 113.2 Navy Mason Fake Cops With DEA Licenses Got Their Blackberries at InterAmerican - YouTube
    • It's day 113 this is part 2
    • And sometimes all you have to do is put two stories together this story I did about 50 days ago in front of the Navy Lodge here in Washington DC
    • Remember enter America, Inter America is the company that Imran Awan worked for at this location
    • So is Imran Awan supplying 33 secure phones--33 secure phones--not a masonic number--but 33 secure phones for these Navy fake cops in these 33 states?
    • These Navy fake mason cops
    • I mean there they are there's the badge
    • I didn't make this up
    • So now I've seen my sister of color
    • I've seen my sister of color Maxine Waters associated with Mr. Henry Grand Wizard Henry here
    • I just want to say right now as a Cherokee, I totally want to defend my sister of color as being abused in this situation
    • She's obviously been tricked, hoodwinked, otherwise fooled by these grand Wizards of [whatever]
    • They they kind of I don't really think these are the same two people he does the beards not as big but maybe that is the same guy,
    • But anyway they died conveniently before these trials
    • Interestingly enough we were at the Capitol yesterday and Inter America was demonstrating all kinds of products--all kinds of food products inside, as well there's there being a lot of dreamers at inside the Rayburn office building yesterday
    • And I thought "wow what a great way to bring stuff into America"
    • Enter America through the food products, as I've said many many many times
    • So you can go back to me being in front of this Navy Lodge, I think all the way back a hundred and fifty days, probably further back
    • But this is where I think this is the Technology Center
    • This is where they're getting the people who are running the food products in and out
    • And I think it's gonna be a lot of different Inter-America products
    • But the people running them in and out of the United States are using Imran's Blackberries in these 33 states
    • We just find out what 33 states the Grand Wizard here is overseeing, I think you're going to find the answer
    • I think one of them is San Francisco, unfortunately
    • One of them is Nancy Pelosi's district
    • Even though this is the Los Angeles Times story and they were operating out of Chinatown Becerra's old place, I think they're also operating out of the Mission District in San Francisco and the the Navy Yard, down by the Embarcadero, where Kate Steinle was killed
    • I believe is one of the key entry points as well as across the bay in Oakland is another key entry point
    • And I believe we're gonna find the Masons are Masons there with Anthony Weiner's trusted staff's BlackBerry's there as well
  • Day 113.3 House of Russian Cards Collapsing - "Rich Kids" Scatter - YouTube
    • It's day 113 part 3 and the new face involved here is going to be this guy named Oleg Deripaska
    • Just think about a pasta like a seafood linguini Podesta pasta, daring you
    • Getting up and or maybe pointing a derringer at you the little pasta jumps up off the plate points a derringer at you
    • And then you'll never forget Oleg Deripaska
    • Why is he important? Because he's sort of a second generation from this Marc Rich generation
    • Marc Rich made a deal celled sold out Russia, basically
    • All the mineral wealth--he sold out Russia
    • And there was a episode I did a while back a long time ago 450 days ago--it was of a journalist sitting in the hotel I believe was the Moscow Hilton watching the White House in Moscow, being hit with shells, and them trying to do as many deals as they could with all the metals and mining in Russia
    • And I believe it was Boris Yeltsin's son-in-law
    • And I believe all like Deripaska knows that son-in-law pretty well
    • So Oleg got the aluminum company
    • But it was really all about a company called Glencore and I'll get there in a second
    • But now you've seen this come out or like Deripaska come out into this new controversy that we have with Mark Warner Senator Mark Warner
    • With Mark Warner trying to set up a meeting between Oleg Deripaska and also Mark Warner
    • So if you don't remember Oleg Deripaska he different Strzok for different folks
    • He's Andy McCabe's lifelong friend
    • Everywhere and he seemed to be here was Oleg Deripaska
    • This is a great article by by Thomas Paine last year, talking about how these Case Files wherever Oleg Deripaska was is where Andy McCabe was gonna find Andy McCabe has been involved Uranium One especially since 1998 every step along the way with Oleg Deripaska every step along the way
    • Read this article it's a great article
    • So if you haven't heard about the Mark Warner this is what Mark Warner looks like right there
    • He is trying to do a back-channel secret meeting with for Steele and an intermediary for this Russian oligarch
    • Now for some reason theHill does not name the Russian oligarch, which is Oleg Deripaska
    • And that is the the key thing here is "hey we got to get this story straight"
    • We got to somehow turn this around, get it back onto Trump, get it off of us
    • Somehow, some way, Mark Rubio thinks this back-channel type communication, in the midst of the embroiler that we're currently in, with trying to overthrow the president, is somehow a good idea--to defend this kind of ex-parte communication, which is highly suspect in the least
    • But as I said it all leads back to Glencore
    • Glencore buys Oleg Deripaska's company
    • Basically what they do is they shard it into many little companies
    • And then they bring them all back into Glencore
    • If you don't remember, Glencore was started by Marc Rich in 1990 or 1974
    • Long long history with the Clintons 44 years now
    • Again, as I said, this is all just oh yeah the Iran-Contra it's just now Awan-Contra they're the same to me now
    • So anyway metals and mining metals and mining metals and mining
    • That's what it is about
    • And all you have to do is go down to countries that we've learned about through Mark Lambert
    • Oh here's the Mopani mines that Glencore's in
    • I wonder if Mark Lambert's gonna be near the Malpani mine?
    • Oh Democratic Republic of Congo
    • I wonder if they're going to be near the Shinkolobwe mine?
    • Copper here--there's also going to be Uranium as Katanga down here in the Katanga province, right?
    • what they did is they took all these metal and mining information that the Russians had, and they just they just stole it!
    • I mean not stole it, but bought it for pennies on the dollar
    • I was actually in Czechoslovakia in 1989 while this is all going on
    • I witnessed it firsthand
    • A lot of it was being sold through Czechoslovakia at the time
    • Western Sahara, where have we heard that before? For the mining there, for the phosphate
    • And then of course these paradise papers came out
    • This isn't the Panama papers, but look at this guy named Dan Gertler, who was making all of these deals in Congo
    • And if you remember OFAC which is the overseas company overseas part of the Treasury Department, that seizes assets
    • Dan Gertler was one of the seven that was recently I think it was November December hit with sanctions
    • So this is all coming together
    • This is why the Rothschilds are selling too, because the Rothschilds are involved in this as well
    • And they don't want to lose their assets
    • They're gonna get it into Bitcoin as fast as possible
    • So this is really collapsing
    • I believe this guy Laufman who just left
    • And then I heard another aide outside of Reibeci just left of the FBI
    • This is collapsing so fast, it's hard to keep up with
    • It but we'll see where it goes Laufman would be great to get an interview
    • Somebody should enter on the internet should do a long-form interview with Laufman
    • Anybody who knows how to get a hold of Laufman, we'd love to interview them as well
    • You don't know where to start
    • Everything is collapsing so quickly, but we're gonna try
    • But it's all going to come back to Marc Rich
    • As we've said, Awan-Contra, Iran-Contra same thing

Questions Answers
How did you manage to pick up Cryptex? Great question. This was the inception of Gravitas and tells a really great story of how close the bass music community is. I found Tyler Chase, Cryptex, on The Glitch Hop Forum which was started by Dewey DB and run by ill-esha and a few other glitch hop OGs. Cryptex had posted some of his first reglitches on the site and I ended up playing a few when I opened for Skrillex and PantyRaid at the Austin Music Hall. I posted that mix back to the forum and we ended up chatting over instant messenger about his music and our philosophy on music.
What's the philosophy behind your "free music" practice? The philosophy behind releasing almost all our music for free came from a conversation I had with edIT in 2010. Basically, he said, I know some people are going to download our music for free, some are going to buy it from iTunes and some are going to want to buy a shirt, record and CD of the album. It hit me that what all the artists and myself wanted was for as many people as possible to hear the music. Rather than asking people to buy the tunes and see if they liked it, why not give it to them for free and if they enjoy it, they'll likely donate on the next go around.
What goes into your decision to pick up an artist and/or release for Gravitas? Is it a sound, a type of artist? Something else? Also a great question.
The short answer, we know it when we hear it.
Long answer, it all happens very organically. The music scene and business is really just a bunch of personal connections and friendships. Having a crew of talented DJs and producers helps so much. We are always sharing music, checking out each others mixes, doing A+R, and looking for the next dope sound or producer. Myself, Psymbionic, ONE4ALL, Galvanix, Jason Torres, and The Digital Connection review demos.
In the end, I make the final decision because I personally invest money into each release that comes out.
Our goal is for the label to be something like a Ninja Tune or Warp Records. Less of a genre or sound and more of an esthetic.
Is the money for mastering and advertising? Artwork.
Mastering.
Promo Email to artists, blogs, and friends.
Email Marketing to fans.
Marketing / Promotions.
There's a lot of over-saturation in the industry, particularly among social media. How does this impact your social media presence and marketing campaigns, and which ways have you found most effective in reaching your fans and potential fans? Of course, we have a social media presence, but really, our focus is building our email list so that we can have a direct connection with the people that want our music. Email isn't going to go away and isn't a trend. It may change over time, but pretty much everyone I know checks their email at least once a day.
Facebook and twitter are more for a conversation. We don't want that to be our sole means of promotion. We want those channels to be funny, interesting and list, in a smart way, the most important events that we are involved in.
Can you tell us about how releasing most of your catalogue free is working out for you business-wise, and what went into making that decision? Thanks! Answered this question a bit already but I'll give you some more details. We're finding that the "Pay What You Want" model is absolutely brilliant. Of course, the music has to be good and it really helps if the artist has a solid fan base. Since it's "free", people don't feel bad about sharing the music and we don't have to spend a bunch of time, money and energy trying to lock it up. For anyone on our email list, which is something that we've worked really hard to grow, they will get pushed to our bandcamp and get the music for free.
We still send our tunes to iTunes, Beatport and all the rest of the digital retailers. We want the music to be ubiquitous. But with the retailers taking anywhere from 30-50%, it's just makes better sense to take donations from Bandcamp at 10-15%.
Overall, Gravitas is making money and most of the artists that have had releases with us have nothing but good things to say and have seen their bookings increase because of the exposure.
Do yall have some big studio where I could come hang and puff? Sure, let's puff tough at some point soon.
What happens at Flipside, stays at Flipside ;). Saw you bring the heat at Lava Lounge! Things got sufficiently weird! Lol. I've seen some truly bizarre things at Flipside. LOVE IT!
Really love what you guys have going down there. MAD respect on the home bass love and respect. 'Gravitas Fest' perhaps ;) ?? Im pretty sure pple would come!! :) I can say enough about The Do Lab and what they have created. They are one my big inspirations. The true spirit of events like Burning Man and Burning Flipside (Austin's regional burn) are really important. Participation vs. Spectator. Being a part of something is so much more fun and rewarding then paying $80 to walk up to stage and watch a real life movie.
If we were to do anything like that, it would be way more participation based then a typical festival.
You should do something like the Mad Decent block party. One day! We've still got a lot of work to do before we get there.
Maybe if I produce MIA's new album and have a worldwide hit, everyone follows my every move on twitter and I do a blackberry commercial, then we can do it.
Where do you think Glitch-Hop is headed in the future? It seems to have stayed underground for the most part with only a few artists getting major recognition. With the downslide of dubstep, do you think Glitch will be able to find a wider audience and compete with explosive movements like trap or do you think it will remain in it's niche? The lines are really blurring for me. We're definitely not 100% glitch hop label. A lot of us love that sound but there are parts of the crew that only play house or are all about future beat / drum and bass. We want to avoid getting labeled with any one genre.
To answer your question, I think Glitch Hop will continue to thrive and evolve. Acts like Tipper have cult like followings. I don't think it's going to blow up like trap but I do think it will have a healthy scene around it for a good long time.
Marvel Years! Love your sound man, just curious why you changed your name from Wonder Years...? He's getting online shortly. I can answer this. There was another band called "Wonder Years" and they had the copyright. It would have been a bad situation later down the road so he chose to make the switch before he took off which seems like is about to happen any day now.
Questions for any/all of you: When did you guys start/how long have you been producing? When did you start actually liking your art/getting exactly what you wanted? Advice for new producers? I'm 32, about to be 33, and I've been playing music and working in the industry since I was 15. Honestly, I'm still not happy with my production as I don't dedicate the time to it that I would like to. That said, I have a ton of fun doing all the other parts of the music industry. I think there is a lesson there. There are lots of roles to play if you want to be in the scene or business and maybe don't click as a producer. Also, life is long, you may be a producer or DJ in your twenties and then want to own a studio or do mastering in your 30s and run a label in your 40s.
Yeah man...more originals please! Always like what you put out...you know this. :) Thanks! I'll have a new one on Virtus in Sonus Vol. 2. Comes out on July 2nd.
For Jesse - As CEO at Gravitas, how do you view other crews/groups in the industry? Is your experience more of competition or is there an element of a "co-opetition" or collaboration? I don't think of them as competitors. There is loads of people, ears and music to go around. I think we've carved out a really cool niche for ourselves. I know the owners of labels like Muti, Simplify and Street Ritual. We share knowledge and a lot of artists work with us all. It's crazy what a small scene it really is. I can think of a couple situations where we chose not to do something because we didn't want to step on anyone's toes. We're the new kids on the block and know enough to respect those that came before and to try to set an example for those that come later.
We still going? Integrity Above All Else.
Question for Gravitas - Gravitas is one of the latin virtues. It literally means Importance, Weight and Meaning.
What values is the record label based around? Link to en.wikipedia.org
What's you guys relationship with the bloom series? it's amazing,, have you any plans to collaborate with the project in the future? The Digital Connection is up in Denver and will be playing Sonic Bloom. He's hooked into their scene. We know and respect them and I think you'll see more Gravitas artists there in the coming years. Somatoast would be my bet for the next artist to get their nod.
Jason, i haven't got to see any of your projection mapping stuff yet. Where can I view this? Jason is a BOSS with the visuals. The stuff he was doing during SXSW was truly unreal.
What's with the infatuation with bass these days? Music should not only be heard, but felt. Deep bass tones seem to literally put your mind and body into a specific state.
@Brede, who is the sexiest talent on the roster? Male or Female?
I'd have to say ill-esha is by far the sexiest. :) It's not even about looks either, confidence and talent are what make a person "sexy". Watch this and you will know exactly what I mean: Link to www.youtube.com
My cat is pretty damn sexy too.
On the off chance you return, i have a question. That is awesome that you say that. That is truly where our heads are at. I mentioned this in a few ways already but I want artists that can stand on their own two feet without a label. We come in and back them up with marketing. In return, they bring their fan base to us and the other artists benefit and earn new listeners. It's also, not a demand, but a gentle rule that you will support your fellow artists in their social media and real lives. In that sense, we are a creative collective and crew.
What does it mean for a label in this digital world of downloads and online distribution, when anyone can make their own bandcamp page and release music themselves? In regards to being a brand, yes, that is what Gravitas is. It should speak to you and in some way convey meaning, thought, depth, and integrity. Those are hard things to totally lock down in language but I believe you can hear that in our music. If people even get a whiff of that vibe from us then I'm a happy man.
Do you become more of a form of branding, unifying different artists under one sound? Or is it more like a way to get artists to collaborate and share ideas? In regards to free releases, I'm a student of the Internet. I have worked in tech jobs as an account manager, online and email marketing and webmaster. I love the Internet and there are new models of business that have never existed until the advent of digital media. Files can be shared and copied with a simple mouse click. We're not going to fight that, we're going to take advantage of it. We believe that the free sharing of the music is the first step of any relationship with a potential person / fan / customer. We want you to dig our stuff. We want you to share it. We want to play shows, collaborate, travel and see the world. And we ask that if you like our music, donate to help pay for costs and tell your friends about us.
I'm really curious - because you release so much for free, and it seems to defy the definition of what I thought of as a record label. Thanks for your question. I had a blast answering.
I feel like I'm on the Truman Show. Am I in control of my actions right now? Like I said, this scene is small. We are all connected via social networking and forums in some way. I probably share 2 or 3 friends with you on Facebook or something.
ARE YOU CONTROLLING THIS ENTIRE AMA. And yes, I'm controlling this entire AMA. :)
What festivals will you guys be hanging out at this summer, and will there be a gravitas tent/dome anywhere ever? I'll be at rootwire and gratifly, anyone gonna be there? There is talks of putting together an official artist management and booking agency. Both those ideas need to be separate from Gravitas though for legal reasons and to avoid conflict of interests. That said, the idea is to really back and artist from start to finish. 360 deal for independent artists.
You guys have a great label -- I love your music! I think ZEE's album is my favorite album of the year so far. Mr. Bill, when is the next Electrocado album coming out? (I know it isn't on the Gravitas label but shhh.) ZEE's album was crazy good. More people need to check it out. I'm pretty sure Zebbler is an alien and Encanti is the nicest, realest homie that knows so much about audio and sound design.
How is your management structure set up? i.e. CEO/President, director of A&R, etc... We're really just a group of people who love music. If we had to give titles, I'd be Owner / President, Psymbionic is VP and helps almost everyday with strategy and A+R. Jason Torres handles all things visual. ONE4ALL, Galvanix, Kendall Clark, The Digital Connection, Mike Abb and others help a ton with A+R and promotions. We're a big team and very "flat" as far as structure goes.
Thanks. Is it a full time operation for any of you guys? A few of us are doing music full time. I run Gravitas and another business full time from my house. Others are working day jobs and putting as much time into music as possible. ill-esha gave me some great advice recently about this, you'll know when the time to jump full time into music is. It's scary for sure, but there is nothing else like pursuing your dreams full on.
Agreed. I've just started up a label and have some uneasiness about some future situations, particularly generating revenue for the label to be self sustaining. Definitely hoping to be in a similar position in the future. For sure. When I started Gravitas, I was working full time for a technology company and making a healthy salary. I put a lot of money into each release. I was laid off from my job and we were forced to take a look at the costs and cut back. Honestly, that was the best thing that could have happened.
I'd say this, there is definitely an initial investment needed to get the brand of your label out there. You need to be consistent with quality, especially right at first. Paying an established producer an upfront fee, can help to get the label's name out there more and earn some credibility.
Haha, I'm actually in a eerily similar situation. Glad to hear things are working well for you! I really appreciate the feedback; I've looked to Gravitas multiple times as an example to follow, and I really appreciate you taking the time to do this! For sure, feel free to hit me on twitter or here if you have questions. @jessebrede.
What are your thoughts on G Jones? He's a G.
Why do you insist on making music that everyone wants to practice making babies to? The world needs more smart, talented people. Get busy.
Can I get a free Gravitas t-shirt? We're working on a system to grow money on trees. Until then, shirts cost money to make so, sadly, no.
We will send you some stickers though. Link to gravitasrecordings.com
You guys are in Austin as well, eh? Where are all the glitch hop shows here? That's my question. I see ill-esha/psymbionic comin through on sxsw but that's about the extent of it. We've put on a fair amount of shows. ChrisB, ill-esha, Russ Liquid, Nicoluminous.
We do a monthly every 2nd Wednesday (tonight) at Barcelona. Like our facebook page and get on our newsletter and you should know what the happs is.
What are your main sources of revenue? Giving away music for free doesn't generate much. We all play locally or tour nationally. We've done some paid projection mapping gigs for brands as well. Also, you would be surprised at how much people will donate when given the chance. Rough stats, 1 in 10 people usually donate and when they do it's at least a few bucks and sometimes $20. It's a really interesting psychological experiment.
Anyone catch the Opiuo show in Hollywood? Soulular maybe, he's out in LA. Psymbionic is playing with him this Thursday in Chicago.
When will you start accepting bitcoin? I'm a bitcoin noob. Is this a serious question? I'm down with the idea.
Cryptex is siiick! How long have you been involved with this genre of music? Username fail.
Just wanted to say you guys are my favorite label, not only is the music kickass but the price structure and quality is also top notch; keep doing what you guys do! Thank you, that means a lot to us. All the artists work so hard on their music and truly just want to share it. We love to hear that you are into what we are doing.
The scene in Austin is probably pretty similar to most fairly large cities in the US. Proggy/electro house is the norm for most clubs. I feel like we have a larger than usual bass music collective, most likely due to the college students and burners that reside here. Ill-esha is AMAzing. :) Austin is great. It's a true scene at this point. The city is maturing and so is the scene. Loads of great things happening at this point. Disco Donnie Presents had the scene hostage for a number of years, they kept a lot of smaller promoters out and down while losing tons of money and booking the same 30 djs. Those days are over in Austin. We have several independent promoters that are doing solid shows on the regular. The most unexpected thing to happen was having people respond so positively and for projects to take off. We're in our little bubble so seeing people truly get excited about a Mr. Bill remix contest or ill-esha album puts the biggest fucking smile on my face.
We also have our pockets of drum and bass enthusiasts, dungeon style dubstep, and my personal favorite, UK garage.
I always thought it was to distinguish yourself because whenever I googled wonder years, your music is obviously not the first thing that came up haha. Anyway, thanks for doing this AMA! I am always posting your music in /electrohiphop, /under10k, and /listentothis. I can confirm this. Starkey has mad love for ya.
This dude is absolutely killin' it in the weird GlitchJuke Purp-Fusion realm. Hope he continues to push the boundaries. Thriftworks is on a whole 'nother plane, though. We need more of this sound in Tennessee :[ Thrifworks is on another level. His field recordings and "found sounds" are probably my favorite of anything in that style. Absolute boss status.
Hell yeah. I was so stoked/surprised to hear he was touring with Lorin. But goddamn, there's nothing else like his stuff that I'm aware of. Hyper-dimensional uncertain shroom-hop. The way he processes vocals is untouchable. I believe he studies at Berkely. He's posted some pictures of places where he's working. His process looks so cool.
Psymbionic handles the majority of the mastering for the label and every once and a while I will master something for us. Sugarpill has done a good bit as well.
Lidsky is a friend of mine, and I absolutely love his music. He's pretty new to the label but he is the shit. Yup Yup!
Spoiler alert bro. Whoops.
Dinostep was a project 50 million years in the making, I did not expect to hear any mentions of it in the AMA. I sampled all of the audio from Jurassic Park and chopped up my favorites bits creating a dark journey through the aural landscape of Jurassic Park. Life...finds a way. Link or it didn't happen.
Started in Garage band in 05. Switched to Ableton in 07. Made a lot of terrible terrible music. But I was having fun and that helped me keep at it. Just remember what Ira Glass said: Link to behance.vo.llnwd.net. Absolutely bizarre that you posted this. Our very own, Nikki Hampson, designer of the Gravitas logo and Virtus In Sonus artwork, made that poster. It's for sale in our merch shop. Maybe that's where you got it but doesn't look like it.
Link to music.gravitasrecordings.com
Yeess. I keep forgetting that quote. I need to frame it in... everywhere I go. Get it here: Link to music.gravitasrecordings.com :)
Hit up [email protected] to book him ;) [email protected] please.
Just in case one rips, that is a great idea. I keep a spare in my car as well.
We'll see. That remix really surprised me with how much it took off!! Link to soundcloud.com
